With the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) playing a crucial role in equipping youth with practical skills and enhancing their employability, the State government is reportedly planning to set up at least one ITI in each assembly constituency in the
State.
Currently, 65 ITIs are functioning in the State and the government is preparing to set up another 40 of them in a phased manner. A survey conducted by the Labour and Employment Department revealed that there were no government ITIs in 64 constituencies out of the total 119 in the State.
