The state government
will launch digital classrooms in 1,500 government schools across the state
starting November 14.By introducing
this novel concept, the government wants to make the students studying in
government schools compete with their counterparts in corporate schools.
Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister K Srihari on Friday announced that digital classrooms would be started in 1,500 upper primary schools in the state. Srihari conducted a review with education department officials on the issue here on Friday.He directed the officials to prepare a district-wise list of schools for digital classrooms and ensure that all the districts were covered under the programme.

for teachers in government schools for taking digital classes would be
completed by November 10. Srihari said the digital classes would be held for
classes 6 to 9. Except Hindi, the remaining five subjects would be taught
through digital classes. The digital
classrooms would be introduced in phases.
Initially, the digital classrooms would be started on November 14 at BC, Tribal, Minority residential schools, KGBV schools, government and zilla parishad schools, the deputy CM said.
