Telangana governor Jishnu Dev Varma has emphasised the importance of promoting mutual respect and understanding of India’s diverse cultures among the states on Nagaland State Formation Day. As part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, the Governor hosted a special celebration at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad yesterday. 

Nagaland became the 16th State of India in 1963. The Governor extended warm greetings to the people of Nagaland and honoured the leaders



and citizens who contributed to the state’s creation. The celebration included colourful cultural performances, featuring traditional songs and dances by Nagaland artistes. Nagaland residents in Hyderabad, along with Raj Bhavan officers and staff, participated. The event reflected the spirit of unity and cultural diversity promoted by the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, emphasising harmony among India’s many communities.
