The TSRTC told the Telangana High Court on Tuesday that it was in negotiations with the state government to return the amounts due to the TSRTC Employees Thrift and Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. The RTC had collected around Rs 639 crore from the employees as their contribution and had not deposited the sum in the society’s bank account.

Justice C.V. Bhaskar Reddy of the High Court, who was hearing an application filed by the co-op society directed the TSRTC and its

vice-chairman and managing director to remit the amount which had deducted from the salaries of TSRTC employees for the purpose of the credit society but not transferred to the society’s bank account.

The society said if this was not done, it would face serious hardships. It said the TSRTC was utilising the money deducted from staff salaries for its purposes. The court allowed the applications of the society.
