Telangana High Court here on Friday granted interim bail to the film actor Allu Arjun in connection with the stampede case registered by the Chikkadpally police.
The court gave the order in response to a squash petition filed by Allu Arjun’s lawyers. A few minutes after the arrest of Allu Arjun by the Chikkadpally police in connection with the stampede at Sandhya theatre during the
screening of Pushpa-2 movie on December 4, the police took him to the Gandhi hospital for medical checkup.
Accompanied by the police escort team, the Chikkadpally police produced him in the Nampally court, which remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days. Anticipating that a large number of Allu Arjun’s fans would throng the court, the Hyderabad police made massive security arrangements.
