Justice K Laxman of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday reserved order on the matter pertaining to the transfer of case filed for bail cancellation of AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Raghuram Krishna Raju, Member of Parliament sought directions to transfer the case to another CBI Judge.
The arguments in the cancellation of bail were concluded in the month of August and the order is due to be pronounced on September 15. The petitioner pleaded that the Sakshi media has already published that the court has rejected the application for cancellation of bail.
There is a chance that the Judge may get influenced. The petitioner apprehends that the judge may not act impartially as the CBI Judge has already granted permission to Vijaya Sai Reddy for travelling abroad.
Continuation of the case before the same judge will cause prejudice, he said. The CBI on the other hand submitted that the grounds raised by the petitioner are not sufficient or seeking relief of transfer of the case to another Court. The Judge after hearing both sides at length reserved the case for orders.
