Justice T. Vinod Kumar of Telangana High Court summoned the deputy commissioner, Serilingampally Zone, Greater Hyderabad, to personally appear before the court on July 2, 2024, in a writ plea challenging the dumping of garbage and non-removal of Ganesh idol remains at Guttala Begumpet, Serilingampally. The judge was dealing with a writ plea filed by Polavarapu Srinischel and another alleging that the respondent authorities were dumping garbage and remains of Ganesh idols from Durgamcheruvu into Amar Cooperative Society where the petitioners reside. 

The petitioners further



alleged that the respondent authorities are not considering the representations given by the petitioners to remove the garbage. Counsel for respondents represented that garbage was removed by the respondent authorities. However, counsel for the petitioner produced photocopies of garbage not being remove from the property and stated that the respondent authorities are misrepresenting the facts before the court. After hearing the petitioner, the judge directed the deputy commissioner, Serilingampally Zone of Greater Hyderabad to appear before the court.
