The Telangana High Court has opened a virtual door for the public, by providing live streaming of the court proceedings. Chief Justice of the High Court, Justice Alok Aradhe launched the live streaming of proceedings of all court halls in the High Court, here on Monday.
Earlier, only the first court hall proceedings were available for live streaming. This has been facilitated at all the remaining 29 courts in the High Court.
This move will take
the judiciary closer to the people, Justice Aradhe said. The hybrid mode of hearing will be launched soon.
In a 2018 ruling, the Supreme Court underscored the significance of live streaming and asked all 25 High Courts in the country to take steps to live stream proceedings of the High Court and district courts. Gujarat High Court is the first High Court to live stream court proceedings of the High Court and district courts.
