Telangana Hijra Transgender Samithi launched

Transgender activists who had been working for community rights on Monday launched Telangana Hijra Transgender Samithi to bring 50,000 members under a single platform.

Launching the organisation’s logo, Laila, president of Telangana Hijra Transgender Samithi said: “We have launched this organisation to build a network among our community



members. We are co-ordinating with members to focus on their issues and provide them with guidance.” 

General Secretary, Chandramukhi said the Samithi would highlight the need to establish Transgender Welfare Board at State level for protection of rights and welfare of community members.
