Telangana Government has announced its Innovation Policy on Tuesday through G.O Ms. No. 10. The policy aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, leveraging upon its natural demographic assets as well as its skilled and research workforce.
The policy will primarily focus on developing physical infrastructure & programme management capabilities, creating sustainable funding models, through funds and other instruments, developing human capital by creating the right environment and support systems for learning, experimentation and innovation from the early phases of education,
ensuring proactive engagement with industry to continuously promote and identify innovation and to encourage startups in the rural and social Enterprise space by providing additional incentives.
Large IT majors such as Microsoft, Oracle and TCS have chosen the city to base their large offices. With a proactive political environment in the State, and with other contending cities suffering from infrastructure constraints as well as a clear proclivity for natural disasters, Hyderabad is increasingly becoming a favoured choice for the multinationals.
