Telangana Police arrests ex-IAS officer Akunuri Murali for protesting

Hyderabad: On Tuesday, the police arrested two people for protesting the allocation of double-bedroom homes to the poor, including an ex-IAS officer.

The Social Democratic Forum (SDF) convenor Akunuri Murali and the forum's co-convenor Dr. Prudhviraj were taken into



custody from Ambedkar Colony in the Hanamkonda district.

On Monday, the protest took place in the town of Bhupalpally. The SDF stated in a statement, "A total of 540 houses with two bedrooms were constructed five years ago." The poor have not yet been given a single house.
