Telangana records 93.13% polling in byelection

Munugode Assembly constituency reported 93.13 percent in by-poll in Telangana. The office of the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer stated that over 2 lakh 25 thousand 192 voters out of over 2 lakh 41 thousand have exercised their franchise in Munugode.

Barring a few incidents, the polling remained



peaceful. Police resorted to lathi charge, to disburse mob in Marriguda Block while locals caught personnel belong to political parties who were trying to distribute money and liquor at one or two places. 

A total 47 candidates were in the fray in Munugode.
