IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on Friday said that several major companies were keen on setting up their operations in Telangana State, which continued to remain the favourite destination for investors.

Speaking at a review meeting held with Heads of Departments of IT and Industries here, the Minister said several companies that had approached the State government had already received necessary approvals and will be laying foundation stones for their units in the coming months.

Instructing the officials to provide complete assistance to the companies which are coming forward to invest in Telangana, Rama



Rao said: “The new companies coming into the State will generate more employment opportunities for the locals.”

The Minister enquired about the progress of works at the Industrial parks being set up in the State, and directed the HoDs to submit a detailed report on the development works and further plans to be implemented in the coming four years.

IT and Industries Department Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Handlooms and Textiles Director Shailaja Ramaiyer, TSIIC MD EV Narasimha Reddy, ESD Commissioner GT Venkateshwar Rao, participated in the meeting.
