Hyderabad: Minister for health C Laxma
Reddy launched the ‘Call Ambulance’ app on Monday to help citizens avail
efficient emergency care. The app is first-of-its-kind integrated emergency
notification app to help patients prone to emergencies get accelerated help
from GVK EMRI (108), friends and family.
A person in distress can use the app and notify GVK EMRI
call centre with information such as location of the person, health history,
emergency contacts or family doctors and insurance
details. Dr Laxma Reddy said that armed with this
information, GVK EMRI could validate the information from patient in distress
much more efficiently and improve efficiency in dispatching ambulance to the
patient. The doctor on call at GVK EMRI would have enough information on the
patient to guide a treatment procedure remotely if required, he said.
