The Telangana Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has discontinued night rider services. Although the journey is cheaper compared to private cab services and auto-rickshaws, apparently there was a gap in creating awareness among the passengers and the technical issues regarding the last mile connectivity.

Due to this, night services could not be continued for a long time. Moreover, the meagre revenue from operating buses also was a reason for stopping of the services.

The TGSRTC had introduced these services in the city on an experimental basis in May 2022 for

the convenience of passengers at night.

In the most densely populated areas, it prepared a route map and operated the bus services in such a way that passengers could reach their destinations safely in buses between 10.30 pm to 4 am.

Some of the routes where the night service buses were operated include Secunderabad – Patancheru, Secunderabad – Charminar, Charminar – Secunderabad, Secunderabad – CBS, CBS – Secunderabad. Other routes include Afzalgunj, Chandrayangutta, Charminar and Dilsukhnagar.
