The Telangana State Wakf Board in association with ‘We Hub’ is planning to train women from minority communities to become successful entrepreneurs.
According to the board officials, discussions are underway between the Wakf board and ‘We Hub’ officials over the initiative. Plans are there to conduct counseling, coaching and training to women from the minority community on how to launch business start-ups.
Training and guidance will be imparted to the candidates by experts from various fields. “Many are keen on starting small businesses at homes. So our aim is to reach out to such women and extend them support,” said TS Wakf Board CEO, Shahnawaz Qasim.
The board will organise training
programme of one-or two-month duration for such women and provide all necessary assistance. “Several women are holding post-graduation degrees in various fields and want to set up some startups. Depending upon their demand, we will plan the training and guidance programmes,” he said.
The focus is on small home-based concepts which will help the women from the minority community enroll and empower them. “Lots of avenues are there for minority communities in the field and we want the women to excel. A little help will certainly bring a change in their lives,” said Shahnawaz Qasim.
The Wakf Board officials plan to utilise the space in the Haj House at Nampally to conduct the programmes.
