Telangana state government has announced a financial assistance of 4 thousand rupees per acre to farmers towards purchasing fertilizers. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced this in Hyderabad last evening at an interaction with farmers at his camp office.
He further said 4 thousand rupees will be directly transferred to the farmers’ bank accounts before the end of May every year from next
financial year onwards. He also said a proper system is being worked out for smooth implementation of the scheme. He asked farmers to form into associations at village level to monitor its implementation at the grass roots level.
As per the government estimations, about 55 lakh farmers who are using presently about 25 lakh tonnes of fertilizers across the state will be benefitted with the proposed scheme.
