Telangana to form 40 new municipalities soon

Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao held a review meeting with District Collectors on the development on Tuesday in Hyderabad where he directed them to identify the major gram panchayats having the population more than 10,000. 

Stressing on the need to form new municipalities to



popularise government welfare schemes among the public, the Minister stated that the state government is all set to form 40 new municipalities.

He informed the officials to merge villages falling within the radius of 3 to 5 km under the limits of municipalities.
