Telangana to give one lakh power connections to farmers

The state government has decided to give extra one lakh agriculture power connections to farmers taking the total connections to more than 21 lakh. This would cost the exchequer Rs 600 crore.

Besides clearing the pending applications, give connections to around 30,000 more farmers who are likely to apply in the next few month,” Rao directed Transco and Genco officials.
