Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the Green Pharma City, a key initiative under Future City project, was progressing rapidly and already, a few biggest pharma companies had signed MoUs with the State government.
He also said the State government was developing pharma villages between Outer Ring Road and Regional Ring Road. Efforts were on to generate five new lakh new jobs, he said at the inaugural ceremony of the BioAsia summit here on Tuesday.
“We created Genome Valley years ago. We are coming up with a new Life Sciences policy, which would be the first in India,” Revanth Reddy announced.
The Chief Minister said efforts were to transform Telangana into a one
trillion US dollar economy in next 10 years. “We creating Future City, AI City and many other big projects as part of this endeavour,” he said, adding that Hyderabad was now EV capital of India. It has the highest sales of EVs in the entire country.
As Telangana was a land-locked State, the Telangana government was developing a mega dry port and it would connect it to neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. These two ports would be connected with a dedicated rail and road link, he said.
“Many industry giants are here at BioAsia and together we can use this platform for great collaborations. Our government is committed to extend all support, including infrastructure and policy,” the Chief Minister said.
