The Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (MJPTBCWREIS) is planning to start sports schools with the aim of producing national and international players who could excel in their chosen field and bring laurels to the State.
To start with, the society intends to launch at least a couple of sports schools from the next academic year, i.e. 2018-19. The students joining these schools will be trained in cricket, horse riding and gymnastics among other sports.
The admission to these schools will be for
students who are already part of the society and are admitted based on physical test. Students joining these schools will not just be trained in various sports but will also be provided regular academics.
“The society wants to produce national and international players in various sports and accordingly, we are planning to have sports schools from the next academic year. Initially, one or two schools will be established where students will be trained in sports besides regular academics,” a senior official of MJPTBCWREIS told.
