IT Minister D Sridhar Babu said the State government would soon launch a cyber security policy in compliance with India’s digital personal data and protection law. Telangana has been proactive in developing cyber security ecosystem and focusing on countering cyber threats, he said.

“The government is in discussions to



establish cyber defence centre in Hyderabad. It will safeguard citizens and government entities from cyber threats,” Sridhar Babu said at the Cyber Security Conclave 2025 here on Tuesday.

Earlier, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said official statistics disclosed that cyber criminals looted Rs.22,812 crore in the country last year.
