Telangana Tourism Minister J. Krishna Rao on Wednesday announced plans to transform the state, known for its natural beauty, into a destination wedding hub. Speaking at the media conference in Hyderabad, the minister said areas like Somasila, Ramappa, Laknavaram Nagarjuna Sagar and Ananthagiri Hills will be developed as destination wedding hubs. He said a draft policy on Tourism will be announced soon to develop the sector in
the state.
He said measures also will be taken to develop eco-tourism, Temple tourism and medical tourism in the state. Resorts will be developed at Ananthagiri hills for wellness tourism. He also alleged that tourism was neglected during the past ten years and assured that progress will be made in the next six months in the tourism sector.
