The Telangana State Wakf Board has decided to constitute a vigilance cell with one Deputy Superintendent of Police and an Inspector rank officer with support of eight constables to protect Wakf properties.
At a meeting, Mohd Saleem, Chairman Telangana State Wakf Board said it was unanimously decided to strengthen the vigilance set up in the Board to safeguard the Wakf property running into thousands of acres worth hundreds of crore
rupees.
“Wakf Board is determined to protect every inch of Wakf property. No one will be allowed to grab the Wakf lands. The Board is also taking legal steps to protect the lands,” he said. It was also decided to construct a Haj House at Sangareddy district.
During the meeting, Chief Executive Officer Shahnawaz Qasim and other Board members were present.
