The Telangana State Wakf Board will be filing police complaints against persons who had encroached upon the land endowed with Wakf Board at Mamidpally and Jalpally on the city outskirts.

TS Wakf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem along with the Board officials on Tuesday visited the place following complaints of encroachments. He said 2,131 acre of land belong to Dargah Baba Sharfuddin at Pahadishareef and another 718 acres of land belongs to Ashoor Khana Ali Saad and Dargah Hazrath Saif Nawaz Jung located at Mamidpally

“Cases have been filed in the High Court and Waqf Tribunal to evict the encroachers who had grabbed the wakf land. We are also approaching the police and filing complaints against those involved in grabbing wakf land,” said Mohammed Saleem.

The Wakf team also inspected the ramp works of the Dargah Pahadishareef. The State government sanctioned Rs.19.60 crore for a ramp at the dargah and works on construction of the ramp to reach the shrine are underway.
