Telangana State will be developed into an Animation-VFX-Gaming Hub, IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has said.
Laying foundation stone for the prestigious “Image Tower” coming up in T Shape to be built in 10 acres under Public-Private Partnership at Rayadurgam here, KTR said it will become another milestone in Hyderabad. It was estimated to cost around Rs 946 crore for the building coming up in 10 acres beside Inorbit Mall. With the TSIIC being nodal agency, bids were called for the Image Tower project to be built in PPP Model. Stating that the “Image Tower” will be in T shape reflecting Telangana and Technology, the minister said.
“We will make use of every opportunity for the development of the State and provide ample scope for generating employment to our youth.
Telangana is now fast growing as vibrant IT Sector in the country”, he said, adding that 100 companies in gaming and animation have been providing jobs and
employment to 30,000 people in Hyderabad. In another three years, Hyderabad will be turned out to be an Iconic City, he added. He also expressed confidence that Animnation-Gaming-Visual Effect-Industry has tremendous future in Telangana State. The IT Minister also said employment opportunities in this sector will grow manifold in future.
He hoped that several films with visual effects were produced from Hyderabad, including Bahubali, Eega, Magadheera, Life of Pie and others. The State government was offering training to the degree students in this sector to get employment. Skill development among the students is key for getting jobs in the sector, he noted. The State government has taken up the Image Towers at 100 meters high and spread in 16 lakh sq ft area.
Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, TSIIC Chairman Balamallu, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, TSHEC Chairman Papi Reddy, TSIIC MD Narsimha Reddy and officials were present.
