TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy said that Telangana will be liberated from the misrule of the BRS on December 9 when the Congress will assume office. He said it was on December 9, 2009, that the Congress-led UPA government had initiated the process of formation of Telangana state.
Reddy said that the Congress, if elected, would first implement the 'six guarantees' promised by the party.
Reacting to the Election Commission issuing schedule for Telangana Assembly polls on Monday, Revanth Reddy, told the media in Delhi, that a miracle will happen in December and Congress will come to power.
"Good days are coming for Telangana. People should celebrate Vijayadasami with enthusiasm. A new light will come in their lives when the Congress government starts implementing its six guarantees," he said.
Dubbing ministers K.T.Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao as 'Billa and Ranga', he said, "The fear of defeat is haunting them, which is why they are criticising Sonia Gandhi
and Rahul Gandhi in all public meetings," Revanth Reddy dared both of them for a debate on any of the welfare schemes implemented during the Congress regime from 2004 to 2014 at Martyrs memorial and also with regard to the BRS regime from 2014 to 2023.
He accused Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao of trying to win the election with corrupt money. "When Congress announced six guarantees, he got viral fever. It's time for him to take a rest. He doesn't need to come out of his farmhouse. The people have decided on who should win the election."
He wondered why the Owaisi brothers were targetting Congress. They should decide whose side they stand for and whom they will support, he said. Reddy accused BJP and BRS of conspiring to prevent Congress from coming to power in Telangana. He said BJP is trying to split the anti-incumbency vote. It is the responsibility of every person in Telangana to thwart the conspiracies and bring Congress to power.
