BRS MLC K Kavitha asserted that both the history and the future of Telangana were inherently connected to BRS president and the State’s first Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Speaking at an Iftar gathering at the BRS office in Nizamabad on Sunday, Kavitha launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

“Revanth Reddy claims to be the State’s future. Let me make it clear. Write it down. Telangana’s history is KCR, and Telangana’s future is also KCR. Revanth cannot match KCR in any way,” she said, highlighting the stark differences in their leadership styles.

Accusing Revanth Reddy of making empty promises and failing to deliver on key issues such as farmer welfare, debt waiver,

irrigation projects, and employment opportunities, she also mocked his public speeches, suggesting that people mute their televisions when he speaks, unlike the attention Chandrashekhar Rao commands.

Kavitha further criticised the Congress government for neglecting promises made to the Muslim community, contrasting it with the BRS administration’s initiatives, such as allocating Rs 1 lakh for the beautification of mosques during Ramzan.

She questioned the discontinuation of Ramzan gifts and urged the government to fulfill its commitments to the community.

The Iftar was attended by prominent BRS leaders including MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy, former MLAs Jeevan Reddy and Bajireddy Govardhan, party members, and minority leaders.
