Tension in old city

Tension prevailed at Nawab Saheb Kunta of Kalapathar in the old city when a group of unidentified persons armed with weapons threatened locals late on Wednesday night.

Around 9.45 pm, the group stopped vehicles and damaged window panes of autorickshaws and cars. They also barged inside hotels and damaged the



furniture.

According to locals, the gang was armed with sticks and sharp-edged weapons. Police forces from Kalapathar, Falaknuma and other police stations from the south zone were rushed to the spot. ACP, Charminar, B Anjaiah said they are investigating the case and special teams have been formed to identify and nab the miscreants.
