TG government undertakes major reshuffle of senior IAS officers

The state government on Monday undertook a major reshuffle of IAS officers, who include principal secretaries, secretaries and heads of a few departments including civic bodies. This is the first major reshuffle of senior IAS officers undertaken by the Congress government after it assumed office in December 2023. The state government initiated the process of transfers of IAS and IPS officers after the model code of conduct for Lok Sabha elections ended on June 6. It transferred 18 IAS and 20 IPS officers, over the last two weeks, who include district collectors and superintendents of police (SPs).

GHMC commissioner D. Ronald Rose was transferred and posted as secretary, energy department. Amrapali Kata, HMDA joint commissioner has been placed in full additional charge (FAC) of the post of GHMC commissioner. Sarfaraz Ahmad, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana was transferred and posted as commissioner, HMDA, reM Dana Kishore, from FAC of the said post. Ronald Ross was also placed in FAC as the chairman and managing director of Genco and Transco, relieving Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi from FAC of the said posts.

Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, principal secretary, energy was transferred and posted as principal secretary, commercial taxes and excise department. 

According to the orders issued by Chief secretary A. Santhi Kumari on Monday, Sabyasachi Ghosh, principal secretary, youth services, YAT&C department was transferred and posted as principal secretary, animal husbandry, dairy development and fisheries department.

Sanjay Kumar, who is waiting for posting, was posted as principal secretary, labour, employment, training and factories department . A. Vani Prasad, principal secretary, environment, forest, science and technology department was transferred and posted as principal secretary, youth affairs, tourism, culture and sports department in the place of Shailaja Ramaiyer. On transfer, Shailaja Ramaiyer, was posted as principal secretary, endowments and principal secretary (handlooms, textiles and handicrafts), in the industries and commerce department.

She was also placed in FAC in the posts of director, handlooms and textiles, vice-chairperson and managing director, Telangana Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited, and managing director, TGCO in the place of V.S. Alagu Varsini. Ahmad Nadeem, principal secretary, planning department was transferred and posted as principal secretary, environment, forest, science and technology department in the place of A..Vani Prasad. Nadeem was also placed in FAC of the post of director-general, EPTRI relieving A Vani Prasad from FAC of the post. Sandeep Kumar Sultania, principal secretary, panchayati raj and rural development, RWS, RSAD department was posted as principal secretary, finance department. Sultania was also placed in FAC of the post of principal secretary, planning department in the place of Ahmad Nadeem. Sultania will continue as principal secretary, panchayati raj and rural development, RWS, RSAD department, until further orders. C. Sudharshan Reddy, managing director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) was transferred and posted as secretary (services and HRM), general administration department relieving M Raghunandan Rao, from FAC of the said post. Jyoti Buddha Prakash, commissioner, transport was transferred and posted as secretary, registrations and stamps, and secretary, housing. Prakash was also placed in FAC of the posts of commissioner and inspector-general, registrations and stamps, commissioner, survey settlements and land records, Bhubharathi relieving Navin Mittal from FAC of the above posts. Prakash will also continue as commissioner, transport, till K. llambarithi reports for the said post. Soni Bala Devi, special secretary, health, medical and family welfare department was transferred and posted as managing director, Sports Authority of Telangana relieving Korra Lakshmi, from the said post. On his reporting to the cadre, K. llambarithi K. will be posted as commissioner, transport in the place of Jyoti Buddha Prakash. A V Ranganath, inspector-general of police, Multi-Zone-1, Hyderabad is transferred and posted as commissioner, enforcement, vigilance and disaster management, GHMC in the place of Nyalakonda Prakash Reddy. A. Sri Devasena, commissioner, school education was transferred and posted as commissioner, collegiate and technical education relieving Burra Venkatesham, from FAC of the said post. 

D. Divya, director, municipal administration was transferred and posted as chief executive officer, Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty(SERP) relieving Anita Ramachandran from FAC of the said post. Divya shall also hold the post of State Nodal Officer, Prajavani. Harichandana Dasari, who is



waiting for posting, was posted as special secretary, Roads and Buildings department. Nyalakonda Prakash Reddy, lPS, director, Vigilance and Enforcement and Disaster Management,GHMC was transferred and posted as Managing director, TG Tourism Development Corporation Limited in the place of K .Ramesh Naidu, IPS. On transfer K. Ramesh Naidu, was directed to report in the Office of the director General of Police (HoPF). On transfer, V.S. Alagu Varsini was posted as secretary, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational institution Society (TSWREIS) relieving K.Seetha Lakshmi from the said post. V.P. Gautham, who is waiting for posting, was posted as special secretary, housing. Gautham was also placed in FAC of the post of director, Municipal Administration in the place of D. Divya. Gautham will also hold FAC of the posts of director, Weaker Section Housing Programme; managing director Telangana State Housing Corporation; CEO, DILL; VC and housing commissioner, Telangana Housing Board and managing director Telangana Rajiv Swagruha Corporation Ltd. S. Krishna Aditya, director, labour was placed in FAC of the post of director, employment and training relieving Ahmad Nadeem from FAC of the said post. K. Ashok Reddy, director, horticulture was transferred and posted as Managing director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) in the place of C. Sudharshan Reddy. Anuraag Jayanti, who is waiting for posting, was posted as zonal commissioner, GHMC,. Khairatabad. Pamela Satpathy has been retained as collector and district magistrate, Karimnagar. Bhavesh Mishra, who is waiting for posting, was posted as deputy secretary, information technology, electronic and communication department. G. Ravi, who is waiting for posting, was posted as member-secretary, Telangana Pollution Control Board relieving as Jyoti Buddha Prakash, from FAC of the said post. K. Upender Reddy (non-cadre), additional commissioner, GHMC, was transferred and posted as zonal commissioner, GHMC,Serlingampalli. On his reporting to the state government, Nikhil Chakravarthi, will be posted as executive director, TGIIC relieving E.Vishnu Vardhan Reddy from the said post.
