In Telangana, all three candidates of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) have been elected unopposed to the Legislative Council under the MLAs quota.
 
D. Srinivas, K. Naveen Kumar and Ch. Venkatarami Reddy were elected, as no other candidate was in the fray.
 
Naveen Kumar has been elected to the upper house of the Telangana state legislature for a second term, while other two candidates have



been elected to the upper house for the first time.
 
Poet and singer Srinivas was earlier working as Officer on Special Duty in the Chief Minister’s Office. Venkatarami Reddy is a former MLA.
 
Meanwhile, AVN Reddy won the Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Teachers Constituency by over 13 thousand vote value by eliminating 20 other candidates.
