To commemorate the State Formation Day, the Telangana government is making arrangements for three-day festivities in Hyderabad commencing from June 2. The Culture Department is organising such programmes that would reflect Telangana’s culture and tradition.
As part of the festivities, a literary (Kavi Sammelan) programme will be held at Jubilee Hall on June 2.
On the same day, the State Awards will be presented to eminent personalities at Ravindra Bharathi, followed by cultural programmes at Ravindra Bharathi on June 3 and State Formation Day Filmotsav on June
4.
At a high-level meeting held at his chambers in the Secretariat on Monday, Sports and Culture Minister V Srinivas Goud reviewed the arrangements and said the arrangements should meet the expectations of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and people of the State. Further, the Minister wanted the officials to submit a report on the condition of various sports stadiums in the State for taking up necessary repair works.
The officials were asked to provide necessary infrastructure at all stadiums and improve facilities for sportspersons.
