Tomato prices zoom up to Rs.80 a kg

The skyrocketing prices of tomato in the wholesale and retail markets in the city is further denting his purchasing power. In what is being regarded as a consequence of short supply, tomato prices have gone up to ` 75 to 80 per



kg.

Vegetable vendors at the Gudimalkapur wholesale market say that they have incurred huge losses as there are few takers for the pricey tomatoes and some other vegetables.
