Enforcement agencies over the past two days seized cash and other materials worth Rs 4.44 crore, taking the total of such seizures, including cash, liquor, gold and other gifts, to Rs 340 crore since October 9, as per the state election officials.

Officials said that Rs 2.72 crore of unaccounted cash was seized on October 24 and 25, taking the total to Rs 119 crore. Similarly, 2,916 litres of liquor



worth Rs 96.89 lakh, 160 kg of black jaggery and 11 kg of alum were seized on October 24 and 25.

In all, liquor worth Rs 18.67 crore has been seized since October 9, officials said.

Further, law enforcement agencies seized ganja worth Rs 37.58 lakh on October 24 and October 25, taking the drug seizures total to Rs 16.94 crore.
