Wanaparthy: With a view to attract women’s vote bank. TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has announced that if voted to power in 2019 elections, Congress would increase the cap on interest-free loans for women’s self help groups (SHGs) from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, in addition to giving Rs 1 lakh as revolving fund to each group.

He was speaking at the Congress Mahila Garjana meeting which was held in Wanaparthy on Monday. He assured the SHGs that Congress would pay an additional Rs



1,000 pension to women enrolled in Abhaya Hastham scheme.

Susmitha Dev, All-India Mahila Congress president, who was the chief guest at the meeting, said only Congress could solve issues related to women in the country.

Expressing hope that Congress party would form government at the Centre with Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister after 2019 elections, she said there was a need for change of power in Telangana, for which everyone need to work together.
