The Congress initiated the Parliament elections activity by inviting applications from aspirants for party tickets as the schedule of the polls would be announced in the last week of this month.Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday announced the decision to invite applications from the aspirants.
He said that those who want to contest to Parliament from the State on behalf of the Congress should submit their applications to the Pradesh Election Committee between February 10 and 12.The aspirants should submit their applications in the Gandhi Bhavan. They have to
submit their bio-data for scrutiny. The PEC would examine the applications and would recommend the names to the All India Congress Committee.
The PCC would also hold preliminary meetings for the preparation for the Parliament elections. Meetings would be conducted with the District Congress Committee presidents, Media Coordination Committee, Publicity Committee, Campaign Committee and Coordination Committee on February11. The Pradesh Election Committee would meet on February 12 to examine the applications received from the aspirants.
