Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy accused that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was deliberately delaying implementation of new Pay Revision Commission (PRC). He demanded the State government offer 43 per cent fitment, besides increasing the HRA (House Rent Allowance).
Appealing to the employees to notice and analyse the reasons behind the delay in announcing the PRC, he wanted them to extend their support to the Congress candidates in the MLC elections. Addressing a meeting with the leaders of all affiliated organisations and cells of TPCC at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday ahead of the MLC elections, the TPCC chief said that both TRS and BJP governments had
done injustice to Telangana ever since they came to power.
Lashing out at the BJP, Reddy said the BJP leaders were trying to gain political mileage by triggering communal hatred among people. He said the graduates had now got an opportunity to teach both BJP and TRS a fitting lesson in the MLC elections by electing Congress candidates.
Meanwhile, the TPCC Mahila wing organised ‘Vanta Varapu’ agitation in front of Gandhi Bhavan against the rising prices of domestic LPG, petrol and diesel. The programme was attended by TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, MLA Seethakka, TPCC Spokesperson Indira Shobhan and other leaders.
