Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday urged the State government to take up measures to conduct RTPCR test on maximum number of the people to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the State.
Wearing a PPE kit, Uttam Kumar Reddy visited the Covid ward in the government general hospital here and interacted with the patients.
Later, speaking to the media, he appreciated the doctors, nurses and para medical staff for relentlessly extending their services to Covid patients in the hospital. He alleged that the State government had reduced Covid tests and limited the number of persons getting the test facility at
Primary Health Centres. RTPCR test labs should be set up in all government hospitals in the State, he added.
Stating that he was ready to extend any help for development of government general hospital here, he said that the hospital should be upgraded into a 950-bed hospital from 300-bed by launching Post Graduate courses in the government medical college.
Reddy said he has represented to the district Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy for CT scan facility and ICU with ventilators in area hospital of Huzurnagar with mineral funds. Dialysis and oxygen pipeline should be set up in Community Health Centre of Kodad with mineral funds, he added.
