Traffic curbs for Independance Day fete

The police have imposed traffic restrictions in different places in the city on Tuesday for the Independence Day celebrations, between 7 am and 12 noon. The road from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort would be closed for general vehicles during the time, G. Sudheer Babu, additional commissioner of police, traffic, stated in a press release.

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will pay tribute at the martyrs column at the Secunderabad Parade Ground and then unfurl the National Flag at the Golconda Fort.

Police requested the invitees are to display their car passes prominently on the left side of the windscreens of their vehicles. They were requested to come in time, and cooperate with the traffic police,

The public can board free RTC buses provided at various places to travel to the venue,

Only A (gold), A (pink) and B (blue) pass holders will be allowed on the road.

Invitees coming with these three categories of passes from Secunderabad, Banjara Hills, Masab Tank, Mehdipatnam side will be routed to the fort via Rethibowli, Nanalnagar junctions, Langar House



flyover, Tippu Khan bridge, Ramdevguda junction, Makai darwaza.

C (green) car pass holders will be routed from Seven Tombs, Banjara darwaza and Owaisi ground. Those from Langar Houz side via Fateh darwaza can take right turn at Bada Bazaar, towards GHMC Island and Owaisi ground.

D (red) catatory car pass holders will be routed via Shaikpet bala and Tolichowki, Seven Tombs side Banjara Darwaza.

The general public, or E (black) car pass holders, will be routed from under the Langer Houz flyover, U turn, left turn towards Fateh darwaza.

Traffic will be diverted at Tivoli Junction towards Brooke Bond and NCC Junction and traffic coming from Tivoli towards Plaza will be restricted from 8 am to 10 am.

Police asked residents of areas near Golconda fort not to park vehicles on the main roads.
