Traffic police sets rules for water tankers

The Hyderabad traffic police has convened a meeting with the owners and operators of private water tankers and informed them about the safety precautions to be taken to avoid road accidents in the city.

Additional Commissioner of Police (traffic) Anil Kumar interacted with the private water tanker owners and instructed them avoid trips during school hours and also reduce number of trips during peak traffic hours.

Apart from



taking safety precautions, the owners and operators were asked not to use vehicles or tankers that are over 15 years old, use speed locks in their vehicles, regularly undergo fitness check at RTA office and carry fitness certificates. “The Hyderabad Traffic Police will conduct Traffic awareness programmes for the drivers at Traffic Training Institutes at Goshamahal and Begumpet and in all 25 Traffic Police Stations,” the release said.
