In the view of New Year eve, the traffic police have imposed restrictions in the city and it will come into effect from 10 pm on Monday. 

Traffic from Khairatabad crossroads and the Necklace road heading to NTR Marg will have to go via Raj Bhavan at the crossroads. 

Traffic from BRK Bhavan heading to NTR Marg will have to get diverted at Telugu Thalli crossroads and travel through Iqbal Minar, Lakdikapool, Ayodhya.

Vehicles coming from Liberty towards Upper tank bund will have to take the road via GHMC office, BRK Bhavan, Iqbal Minar. 

Traffic coming from Khairatabad market towards Necklace road will have to get diverted and pass through Sensation Theatre, Rajdoot lane, Lakdikapool.

The road leading to Secretariat from Mint Compound through NTR Marg will be closed and the traffic from Nallagutta railway



bridge towards Sanjeevaiah park have to take an alternate route via Karbala Maidan or Minister Road. 

Traffic from Secunderabad heading to liberty via Upper tank bund have to pass through Sailing Club, Kavadiguda crossroads, lower tank bund and Kattamaisamma temple.

The Cyberabad police are all set to hold drunken driving check throughout the city on the eve of New Year and all the flyovers including the ORR will be closed to conduct the drive. 

"The drunken driving check will be conducted on December 31 to curb the road accidents and other issues which cause inconvenience to the public," said Cyberabad Commissioner VC Sajjana

He also said that the ORR will be closed from 11 pm and 5 am. "Only bonafide passengers heading to RGI airport will be allowed after a thorough check," said the commissioner.
