Responding to the claims of the Congress and BJP that TRS was the B-Team of those parties, Caretaker Minister K.T. Rama Rao said that the TRS was the A-Team of the people of Telangana.
Mr Rao on Tuesday took to twitter to respond to the comments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi. He said, “In Telangana election campaign Narendra Modiji labels TRS as B-team of Congress!! And Rahul Gandhiji calls TRS, the B-team of BJP!!! Both of you gentlemen will realise on December 11 that we are A-team of people of Telangana (sic)”
Mr Modi on Monday had said, “The same Congress leaders who are calling TRS the BJP’s B-team were calling JD(S) the BJP’s B-team in Karnataka, only to stitch an opportunist alliance with them after the results.”
He even said that “Congress and TRS
are one. Both are only interested in family politics.”
This reaction comes a day after Congress president Rahul Gandhi targeted the TRS and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, accusing them of being hand-in-glove with the BJP. “TRS is the ‘B’ team of the BJP. KCR is the rubber stamp of Modi. KCR is Khao commission Rao. Owaisi and his AIMIM are ‘C’ team of BJP and its role is to split anti-BJP and anti-TRS votes”, said Gandhi.
Meanwhile, the minister reacting to the videos of TDP leader N. Balakrishna, termed it as “too much entertainment”.
He said, “Naidu is trying to buy votes. Without following any ideology, Congress and TD united. How can Congress ally with the TDP when Chandrababu used foul language against Sonia Gandhi.”
