The TRS Government has been giving top priority to providing the required minimum life security to the needy and in implementing 40 schemes for people’s welfare by spending Rs 40,000 crores per year since the state formation.
TRS plenary session passed six resolutions on Friday. In the resolution ‘Welfare to Every House - Happiness in Every Face’, it is said that from birth to death, in every stage, the government is providing security to the common people, weaker sections of the society and the needy through several schemes.
In this resolution, several schemes being implemented by the State Government such as Asara pension, Kalyana Lakshmi, Women and Child Welfare, Arogya Lakshmi, KCR kit and others were mentioned.
TRS Government has requested the Central Government to include Scheduled Tribe reservations which were increased by the State Government in the 9th schedule of the Constitution. The resolution said that the TRS Government’s rule is a Golden era that ensures the people’s welfare.
In the Minorities’ Welfare Resolution, the TRS said that the government has passed the Bill increasing the reservation for Muslim minorities from 4 per cent to 12 per cent in education and employment fields and had sent it to Parliament for its approval.
The Central Government had allotted Rs 4,000 crores for the welfare of the minorities across the country but Telangana State Government has allotted `2,000 crores. In
the resolution, TRS has mentioned several schemes being implemented for the welfare of minorities.
In the infrastructure resolution, the TRS Govt has mentioned Mission Bhagiradha, 24x7 power supply to all sectors, among others.The aim of Mission Bhagiradha is to supply safe drinking water to every household in Telangana by December 2018. For this, one lakh 600 kilometre length pipe lines are being laid to supply drinking water to 52,18,225 households of 24,248 rural villages and 12,52,000 households of 65 municipalities.
In the industries sector, in the last four years, several units were set up in food processing, IT, pharma, power, plastic, engineering and other sectors.
The resolution said that Coca Cola Company has come forward to set up a plant in Telangana with an investment of Rs 1,000 crores, China based Dong Fong Electrical Corporation has come forward to set up a 1,000 MW power plant.
In the resolution on agriculture, TRS said that the State Government is providing loans up to Rs 1 lakh without interest and above Rs 1 lakh with 25 paisa interest (‘Pavala Vaddi’).
It has mentioned Kaleswaram Project, 24x7 power supply to agriculture sector, Rs 4,000 investment subsidy per acre per crop etc. In the administration reforms, increasing the number of districts, setting up of new Mandals, Gram Panchayats, Municipalities and others were mentioned.
