TRS has 39 star campaigners

The TRS will have several star campaigners for the polls in addition to party president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, said party general secretary and Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar.

After meeting chief electoral officer Rajat Kumar on Wednesday, the MP said as per the EC guidelines, all national and regional parties are entitled to have 40 star campaigners. “The star campaigners will use various vehicles in different places.



We wanted to know if these vehicle numbers should also be given in advance to the EC,” Vinod said and sought information on how expenditure should be shown for each of them.

“The expenditure will be borne by TRS,” he said. He sought to know if registration numbers should be given in advance. KCR would not use the government chopper. TRS is well aware of the rules, he said.
