Hyderabad: Telangana State Commission for Backward Classes chairman B.S. Ramulu and other members would tour the state to study the socio-economic conditions of Muslims. The tentative tour may begin from March 10. The six days tour is likely to end on March 16.

The Commission Chairman and other members would tour different districts and study the actual social conditions of Muslims in the state. The commission would also study the education, employment, living conditions and other related factors during the tour.

The BC Commission was formed a few months ago which sought the suggestions and opinions of people, organizations, social groups and different castes regarding 12 per cent reservations to the Muslims under BC-E category.

The commission is yet to submit its report to the State Government. The commission is likely to submit its report after the scheduled tour of various districts.

As per schedule, BC Commission Chairman Ramulu will visit Kamareddy and Nizamabad (March 10); Nirmal and Adilabad



(March 11); Asifabad and Mancherial (March 12); Siddipet and Medak (March 13) and Sangareddy (March 14).

Similarly, BC Commission member Dr. Vakulabharanam will tour Rajanna Sircilla and Jagtial (March 10); Karimnagar and Peddapally (March 11); Warangal Rural and Jayashankar Bhoopalapally (March 12); Mahabubadad (March 13) and Warangal Urban and Jangaon (March 14).

Another member Dr. E. Anjaneya Goud will visit Jogulamba Gadwal and Wanaparthy (March 10); Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool (March 11); Ranga Reddy (March 12); Vikarabad (March 13) and Medchal (March 14).

Commission member Juluru Gowri will tour Nalgonda and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri (March 10); Suryapet (March 11); Kothagudem (March 13) and Khammam (March 14).

After these seperate tours by the Chairman and members to different districts, they will hold a joint survey in Hyderabad on March 16. The similar kind of survey or study was done earlier by the G. Sudhir Commission which has later submitted its report to the State Government.
