The state government sanctioned 90 days child care leave to women employees with immediate effect. Women employees having children will be granted Child Care Leave (CCL) for a period of three months, not exceeding 15 days in any spell, in the entire service to look after two eldest children up to the age of 18.
The CCL can be availed of up to the child’s age of 22 years in case of disabled children. The CCL can be applied for any needs like
examinations and sickness.
The state cabinet has already sanctioned CCL and the guidelines were issued on Monday by principal finance secretary K Ramakrishna Rao. The 10th Pay Revision Commission in its report recommended sanction of Child Care Leave to all women employees to look after two eldest children up to the age of 18. The CCL shall be permitted only if the child is dependent on and residing with the government servant,
