TS Legislative Council bypoll schedule announced

Hyderabad, 27 Sep (Agency): The by-election to fill a vacancy in the Telangana Legislative Council caused due to the resignation of State Minister T Nageswara Rao would be held on October 17.

According to the schedule announced by the Election Commission to conduct the bypoll to the Council (with



MLAs as voters), the last date for submitting nominations is October three.

The counting of votes would be taken up on October 17 itself at 5 PM, a release from the State Chief Electoral Officer said today. Rao resigned from the Upper House as he was elected to the Legislative Assembly in a bypoll.
