Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, who formally took charge as the state BJP president, expressed his determination to tackle corruption in Telangana with a "bulldozer government". He urged party workers to question BRS MLAs and leaders about the unfulfilled promises made by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Kishan Reddy used the term "farmhouse arrest" while referring to the arrests of BJP leaders and workers, including himself, on Wednesday. He emphasised that the BJP's battle is against corruption and family rule, and they will intensify this fight without forming alliances with other parties.

Following up on Thursday’s declaration that "BJP’s war has begun against the BRS," Kishan Reddy on Friday said "the game is on. I am asking all BJP workers to question and hold accountable all BRS MLAs on their Chief Minister and party’s unkept promises. Our battle is against corruption and family rule and we will wage this battle alone. We have never joined hands with the Congress, or the BRS and will never do so. And now, we will intensify our battle against the corrupt family rule in Telangana."

During his speech at the state party headquarters, Kishan Reddy assured that any decisions made by the BJP in Telangana would be collective, and he would seek counsel from senior leaders.  "I may chair meetings but decisions will be taken together. I will seek the counsel of senior leaders and that of Bandi Sanjay," he said.

Former state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, senior party leaders including former Union minister and state election in-charge Prakash Javadekar and national general secretary and state parts affairs in charge Tarun Chugh were present at the meeting.

He urged the public to support the BJP, stating that the party is committed to creating a Telangana for which many sacrificed their lives. He declared that the BJP would emerge victorious in both the Telangana Assembly elections and the 2024 Parliament elections, even against formidable opponents.

"We are striving for a Telangana that 1,200 brave souls sacrificed their lives for. Whether you vote for the Congress, the BRS, or the AIMIM, it won't matter because they all belong to the same group. Only the BJP can truly fulfill the vision that these martyrs fought for. There's a silent revolution underway in Telangana, and it's building up like a cyclone to sweep away the Congress and the BRS," he said.

pledged to bury the BRS government and establish a clean, corruption-free, and people-friendly administration. He criticised Chandrashekar Rao's governance and asserted that the BJP would prioritise people's welfare and accessibility to the Chief Minister.

"The BJP is poised to triumph not only in the Telangana Assembly elections but also in the 2024 Parliament elections. Even if a thousand KCRs, a lakh Owaisis, or thousands of Rahul Gandhis unite, they cannot stand against Modi's leadership, and it is the BJP that will emerge victorious in the national elections as well."

"We will tirelessly strive until we bring an end to the BRS government at Abids Chowrastha. This is the very land that courageously drove away the Razakars. Chandrashekar Rao might believe he holds immense power, money, and control over the police, enabling him to act as he pleases. He plans for his son to succeed him, and then his grandson. He seems to perceive everyone in the state as mere subjects under his family's rule.

But we are determined to put an end to this and establish a clean, corruption-free, and people-friendly government. Our Chief Minister will be approachable, meeting the people, and always accessible to them," he said.

Regarding the Centre's contributions to the state's development, Kishan Reddy mentioned that there has been no response from the BRS so far. "We have a three hour presentation on this, there is no reply to that so far from the BRS," he said.

Regarding the issues with the two-bedroom houses and his arrest, along with several other BJP leaders and workers on Thursday, Kishan Reddy stated, "It is unfortunate that in Telangana, house arrests have become the norm. Leaders of political parties in no other state face such restrictions on their activities." He went on to emphasise that the BRS government might believe it can suppress the BJP using forceful police actions, but they should be aware that for every step the BJP is pushed back, it will confidently take 10 steps forward.

He also criticised the BRS government's implementation of religion-based reservations and assured that the BJP government would implement reservations for Scheduled Tribes (STs).

Senior BJP leaders welcomed Kishan Reddy's leadership and expressed their support in the battle against the BRS government and in bringing the BJP to power in Telangana.
