Police in Karimnagar and Hyderabad seized over Rs 4.35 crore unaccounted cash on Monday. In Karimnagar, police intercepted a vehicle of a cash management agency and found over Rs 2.36 crore unaccounted cash. In Kavadiguda in Hyderabad, the task force and Gandhinagar police caught six persons carrying Rs 2.09 crore cash
In other instances, Narsingi police seized Rs 32 lakh in three incidents; At Ibrahimpatnam Rs 29 lakh was seized from six persons, in Vanasthalipuram the special operations team seized Rs 29.45 cash.
SR Nagar police seized over Rs 9.81 lakh cash at Balkampet from gas agency employee. At Miyapur, police seized 16.646 kg gold jewellery and 23.58 kg silver
articles.
In Wanaparthy district, Rs 1.93 lakh unaccounted cash was seized during vehicle checking at two locations. Wanaparthy police have so far seized over Rs 29.53 lakh cash and liquor worth over Rs 5.54 lakh.
Overall, since the Election Commission of India announced the elections, Rs 109 crore unaccounted cash has been seized in seven days, till October 16 till 9 am, including Rs 25.82 crore between October 15 am and October 16.
Others included liquor worth Rs 77 crore, 1,133 kg ganja worth Rs 2.97 crore, 64.2 kg gold worth Rs 33.62 crore and 400 kg silver and 42.2 carts of diamonds.
