The Telangana police have traced out 4,083 lost or missing mobile devices and handed them over to their owners in 95 days by using the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) application. The police said in a statement that they had registered cases of missing phones from April 20 to July 2. About 1,000 phones were found in 16 days.

stood second in the detection of mobile devices through the CEIR portal, according to the statement.
The Cyberabad commissionerate topped the list by recovering 554 mobile devices, Rachakonda followed with 321, the Warangal commissionerate with 300 and the Hyderabad police recovered 265 mobile devices.
